New Delhi: In response to BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri’s alleged offensive remarks about Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bhardwaj launched a vicious attack on Sunday, claiming that the elections will reveal the true father (chunav ke jab result ayenge tab pata chalega kon kiska baap hai).

“Chunav ke jab result ayenge tab pata chalega kon kiska baap hai…” Saurabh Bhardwaj stated in an interview with the media report.

This follows ‘controversial’ comments made by BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri, who is running against Atishi in the Kalkaji seat, during a public event about CM Atishi’s last name and family.

“Atishi is now Singh, but she was Marlena. Bidhuri said that she had even transformed her father.

Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, attacked Ramesh Bidhuri, the head of the Bharatiya Janata Party, on Sunday for his “controversial” comments against Chief Minister Atishi Marlena at a public event in the nation’s capital.

Arvind Kejriwal responded to the comments on social media platform X, claiming that BJP leaders have gone beyond “all limits of shamelessness” and are “abusing” Chief Minister Atishi. He also said that the people of Delhi will not put up with this and will respond to the BJP in a way that is appropriate in the next assembly elections.

“BJP leaders have gone beyond the bounds of decency. Delhi Chief Minister Atishi ji is being mistreated by BJP leaders. The affront of a female chief minister will not be accepted by the people of Delhi. “All Delhi women will exact revenge for this,” Kejriwal said on X.

Bidhuri’s “controversial” comments on Congresswoman Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had already caused yet another controversy.

In a video posted by AAP MP Sanjay Singh on X, Bidhuri said that if the BJP were to win power, all of Kalkaji’s roads would be made to resemble Priyanka Gandhi’s “cheeks.”

Regarding Bidhuri’s alleged remarks on Congressman Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Bhardwaj said that Ramesh Bidhuri, the head of the BJP, needs to issue an apology.

In addition, he voiced his amazement and denounced Bidhuri’s comments, saying that “no harsh comment” had come from the Congress party.

Because Ramesh Bidhuri had made such a disparaging allegation about Priyanka Gandhi, Bhardwaj said, “I was expecting for the Congress leaders to say something about him. However, I’m shocked that no critical remarks have been made about that assertion up to this point. Ramesh Bidhuri needs to express regret for this. He needs to express regret to the people he has spoken about, and he ought to do it in the same way that Ramesh Bidhuri has done. The people will respond to such politicians in Delhi, which is a cultured society.

In the midst of Congress indignation, Bidhuri apologized on Sunday for his divisive comments on Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

In an interview with ANI, Bidhuri made it clear that his sentiments were in line with those of RJD leader Lalu Yadav. He also underlined that the Congress party had said nothing in response to similar statements made when he was Bihar’s chief minister.

“Such claims have been made before. I made that statement in light of Lalu Yadav’s remarks. Even when Lalu Yadav served as a minister in their government, Congress said nothing about it. The BJP politician stated, “I apologize for my remarks and take them back if they have offended anyone.”

At a gathering in Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav once made a noteworthy pledge. He promised to make the state’s roads as smooth as the cheeks of Hema Malini, a BJP MP and former star.

Congresswoman Supriya Shrinate blasted the BJP candidate harshly, calling the comment “shameful,” and charged the party with inciting anti-women sentiment.

Shrinate said on X that Bidhuri’s remarks against the Wayanad Congress Lok Sabha MP were not only dishonorable but also demonstrated his “disgusting” attitude toward women.

It is anticipated that Delhi’s assembly elections will take place in February 2025.
The Congress party, which ruled Delhi for 15 years in a row, has not won any seats in the last two assembly elections.

In the 2020 assembly elections, the BJP won eight seats while the AAP won 62 of the 70 seats.
