The news of pregnancy of a 22-year-old girl, who was lodged in jail in a case of culpable homicide in a culpable homicide case in Kalwari police station area of ​​the district, shocked the jail administration. The girl was examined at the jail hospital after she developed sudden stomach pain, and later an ultrasound revealed that she was three months and 12 days pregnant. This incident happened when the girl was sent to jail on 20 November 2024 in a case of culpable homicide.

As soon as the information was received, the Jail Superintendent immediately informed the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the District Hospital, after which a medical board was constituted. After investigation, the board confirmed that the girl is pregnant. After this, the administration has made concrete arrangements for the care of the girl, in which arrangements have been made for her examination and counseling by a doctor every week.

Another surprising aspect that has come to light regarding the girl's case is that this incident happened after a fight over a ghost affair. The girl was arrested during that time, and a named FIR was registered against her. It was also told that the girl's family was already aware of her pregnancy.

On Friday, the CMO sent gynecologist Dr. Shipra Sharma and psychiatrist Dr. Dilip Kumar for examination and counseling of the girl. Doctors examined the girl's health and counseled her. There is a stir in the entire jail administration after the woman imprisoned inside the jail was found pregnant. Solid arrangements are being made for the treatment of the woman. From doctors to counselors, facilities are being made available for women.
