NEW DELHI: The third-largest telecom service provider in India, Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL), plans to gradually roll out its 5G network. Chief Executive Officer Akshaya Moondra promised to improve Vodafone Idea’s network connection by adding hundreds of additional sites by March 2025 in a letter to users.
“The future has arrived! In the letter, Moondra said, “We are getting ready for the phased rollout of 5G, bringing you lightning-fast and unmatched experiences.”
The only private telecom provider in the nation to announce a commercial 5G network is Vodafone Idea. Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, its rivals, have already launched their 5G networks throughout the country.
Vi has previously said that by March 2025, their 5G network will be operational. The business emphasized in the letter its alliances with world-renowned companies including Samsung, Nokia, and Ericsson. Thousands of additional locations will improve connection by March 2025, bringing the network experience to new heights. In 2024, Moondra added more than 46,000 additional locations, expanding its network to unprecedented levels. Additionally, more than 58,000 sites saw an increase in capacity, allowing users to do more tasks online more quickly.
“Indoor Coverage Plus technology, which greatly enhances indoor coverage and quality whether you’re at home, in the office, or at a mall, is now utilized by a lot more of our network,” Moondra said.
For a smooth and safe experience, the telco has also included state-of-the-art SPAM detection tools. Additionally, Vodafone Idea is launching brand-new, unique pricing options that are tailored to the use of its consumers. According to OpenSignal, the world leader in network testing, the telecom has the finest 4G network in India. Vi has performed very well in every performance category, including 4G voice app calling, 4G video and gaming, and 4G upload and download speeds.
