Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of “running away” from the allegations that the bungalow had extravagant amenities, saying that the public should also see Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home as the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) engaged in a standoff with police over the Chief Minister’s residence on Wednesday.

“We need to look for similar items at the prime minister’s home as well. The CM’s home was constructed for Rs 33 crores, according to the BJP. The construction of the PM home is reportedly costing Rs 2700 crores. Both the PM’s and CM’s homes will be seen. Both should be made public,” Bharadwaj told reporters.

He said that since the BJP was posting fresh images and videos of the CM’s home every day, they wanted people to see it. The AAP leader went on to say that now that the media is around, the BJP is fleeing.

“New images and videos from the BJP used to be sent every day. We arrived here today together with every member of the media. The BJP is now fleeing. There is now a three-layer barricading. Here, they have also deployed more DCP and installed water cannons. To prevent the journalists from entering, this has been transformed into a border. “Point out the location of the bar, swimming pool, and golden restrooms,” Bharadwaj stated.

The minister said that because the BJP wants people to vote based on where they live, the public should also be able to visit the prime minister’s home. He said that the BJP was “trembling” since they had consented to see the Delhi chief minister’s home.

“We intended to run for office on problems pertaining to power and water. However, BJP wants people to vote based on ‘aawas-niwas’. “The BJP is shaky, but we’ve come here to demonstrate the same,” Bharadwaj said.

His response follows a standoff between AAP leaders, including Sanjay Singh, and the police officers stationed outside the Delhi chief minister’s home on Wednesday. Earlier today, the AAP leaders marched to the Delhi chief minister’s home to deny the BJP’s allegations.

The BJP had referred to the Chief Minister’s mansion as “Sheesh Mahal” and said that it included a golden commode and swimming pools.

In the meanwhile, Bharadwaj and Singh were refused access by the police and sat on a ‘dharna’ outside the CM’s house. Additionally, they argued angrily with the police officers stationed outside the bungalow.

Bharadwaj has previously said that the BJP was straying from the matter, claiming that they were afraid of having to display Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home as well since both the CM and PM’s homes were built with public funds.

The BJP’s Delhi branch uploaded a video saying it was the Delhi CM’s home when the AAP leadership and Delhi Police were engaged in a standoff.

“The public is now aware of the shady inner workings of Kejriwal’s worthless and corrupt glass palace. Delhi’s citizens are aware of this massive scam. The Delhi BJP said on X that the people has realized that this imposter, who seemed to be an ordinary person, is only a playboy who relishes the delights of power.
