Reliance Jio India’s largest telecom company has introduced its advanced 5.5G network offering superfast internet speeds of up to 10Gbps. This marks a significant upgrade to Jio’s existing 5G services providing users with enhanced connectivity and better network reliability.
Jio’s 5.5G Network
Jio’s 5.5G network is an advanced version of its 5G service. It delivers faster internet speeds lower latency and improved network reliability compared to traditional 5G. This technology incorporates integrated intelligence features and uses three different network cells that can connect to multiple towers simultaneously. As a result users can experience download speeds of up to 10Gbps and upload speeds of up to 1Gbps.
Exclusive To OnePlus 13 Series Smartphones
The OnePlus 13 series launched in collaboration with Jio is the first to support Jio’s 5.5G services. These smartphones have been specially developed to integrate with Jio’s advanced network technology making them compatible with 5.5G right out of the box.
During the showcase of the OnePlus 13 series Jio demonstrated the 5.5G service achieving notable download speeds. On Jio’s non-3CC component carrier the downlink speed reached 277.78 Mbps while on the 3CC component carrier the download speed soared to 1014.86 Mbps.
