The Indian women's cricket team created history in the third ODI against Ireland. Team India touched the 400-run mark for the first time in ODI cricket. India's previous highest score was 370 runs but on the Rajkot ground, Team India touched the 400 mark on the strength of Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal's centuries. India crossed the 400-run mark in just 46 overs. This match has become historic for the Indian women's cricket team because it is the first Asian team to cross the 400-run score in ODIs.

This is the sixth time in women's cricket that a team has touched the 400 mark. New Zealand's team has scored more than 400 runs in ODIs four times. Australia has accomplished this feat once. Team India is the first Asian team to cross the 400-run mark in ODIs. The interesting thing is that the 400 mark has been made four times against Ireland. A score of more than 400 has been made once against Denmark and once against Pakistan. Team India has scored more than 350 runs in two consecutive matches, this has also happened for the first time in Indian women's cricket history. New Zealand has scored more than 350 runs in ODIs three consecutive times.

Team India broke its record in 72 hours.

Team India scored 370 runs in the second ODI against Ireland on January 12, which was its highest score in ODIs, but in just 72 hours, Team India broke this record. Openers Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal played an important role in taking Team India beyond 400. Pratika played an innings of 154 runs in 129 balls. This is her first century in ODI cricket. Captain Smriti Mandhana scored 135 runs in just 80 balls. This player scored a century in just 70 balls and became the fastest female Indian cricketer to score a century in ODI cricket.

Team India scored 435 runs in 50 overs against Ireland. Apart from Pratika Rawal and Smriti Mandhana's centuries, wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh played an innings of 59 runs. A total of 9 sixes and 48 fours were hit during Team India's innings. Ireland bowled very poorly and also gave 29 extras.
