Behind making any film successful, not only good actors or directors are there but the entire crew of the film is behind it. Sound, camera, light, makeup, technicians all come in this crew. Without all these, even a good film cannot be made. This team works as the backbone of any film. However, these technicians do not get the money they should get. In such a situation, AICWA i.e. All Indian Cine Work Association has taken an initiative.

AICWA has sent a proposal for a meeting to PM Narendra Modi to talk about this issue. In this meeting, good wages for daily wage workers working in the film line will be discussed. Apart from this, the challenges these workers face on the sets will also be talked about. Many times accidents happen on the sets because proper safety measures are not used. Apart from this, there are also problems like working shifts of 18-19 hours which need to be discussed.

Talk of junior actor, artist

AICWA President Suresh Shyamlal Gupta told in an interview to Times Now that he has written a letter to the PMO. He had sent this letter on January 11. Suresh told that in the letter he has talked about junior actors, artists and technicians. There has been talk about increasing their salary, reducing working hours and safety. Suresh said that no film can be made without these people, but still these people have to face exploitation.

Working conditions should improve

Suresh said that it has been requested in the letter that these things should be taken into consideration, so that these workers get their rights and the working conditions can also be improved. Apart from this, the problems of female workers have also been discussed. It has been told in the letter that work is done for 16-20 hours without taking holidays. Also, there is often a shortage of basic facilities like toilet and water on the sets. The food is also not good, due to which people's health sometimes deteriorates.
