had a defiant response when a cruel X account added her to a list of celebrities predicted to die in 2025.
Linda, who died today (January 15) at the age of 65, got the all-clear from in 2006, but was later diagnosed with incurable secondary in 2017. The cancer spread to her brain, and despite treatment, the tumours continued to grow.
As part of a sick "celebrity death prediction" list posted to X late in 2024, one user predicted: "Davion Blessing, Dave Blunts, John Fisher, Big John, David Coote, Max George and Linda Nolan."
Linda typed out a furious response at the time: "Every New Year, I'm always on the 'predicted celebrity death' list. Guess what?? I'M STILL HERE."
Fans rushed to support Linda at the time, with one writing: "Life isn't promised to anyone, even the horrible people who say things like that. Here's to many more years for you yet, Linda and I hope you have a wonderful new year."
Another agreed: "You're still rocking it too, Linda. Wishing you good health and many more happy years to come."
Sadly, Linda's death was announced on January 15. A statement released by The Nolans' X account read: "It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of beloved Linda Nolan. She faced incurable cancer with courage, grace and determination, inspiring millions.
"Surrounded by family, she passed peacefully. A pop icon and beacon of hope, Linda will never be forgotten."
Linda was suffering from a chest infection during her final , and was "unable to eat a bite" of her festive lunch.
She said: "I staggered down at noon, and could only sit on the sofa as everyone else tucked into lunch. I managed to open some presents, but was back in bed by 8pm. I still have gifts unwrapped. A travesty.
"It's been grim. It wasn't the Christmas I wanted. There was no late-night karaoke, and not one of my four selection boxes got opened. As I write this, I don't plan to go to Coleen's New Year's bash either. No burger van in the driveway for me, and no cuddles with her son Jake's new baby. I'm beyond disappointed."
