Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured after a robber broke into his Bandra (West) home and reportedly stabbed him. The incident took place around 2:30 AM on Thursday while the actor was asleep at home with his family. During the robbery Saif Ali Khan was attacked with a knife. Scroll down to find more details. Saif Ali Khan attacked in house undergoes minor surgery The police confirmed that Saif was admitted to Lilavati Hospital where he is receiving treatment. Sources mentioned that his injuries are minor though its unclear whether the knife attack occurred first or if he was hurt during a scuffle with the thief. Both the Mumbai police and the Crime Branch are investigating the case. According to Mumbai police an unidentified individual entered actor Saif Ali Khans home late last night and had a confrontation with his maid. When Saif tried to intervene and calm the situation the man attacked him causing injuries. The Mumbai Police are currently investigating the incident. FIR filed police units deployed for security The Mumbai police have initiated the process of filing an FIR and have set up several teams to capture the suspect. Kareena Kapoor and their child are safe. The family has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident. After the initial investigation the police are expected to provide more detailed information soon. CCTV footage from the area surrounding the house is being examined. At the time of the incident the actor was sleeping at home with his wife Kareena and other family members. According to the police the thief broke into the house and attacked Saif with a knife. When the family members woke up the thief fled the scene. The police are now on the lookout for the suspect.
