New Ration Cards: The issuance of ration cards is about to start in Telangana. The government has already issued guidelines for this. Lakhs of families in the state are waiting for new ration cards. The important guidelines regarding the new ration cards are as follows.

New ration cards will be issued on the 26th of this month under the auspices of the Telangana Civil Supplies Department. The selection of beneficiaries for the new ration cards will be done in accordance with the recommendations of the Cabinet. After scrutiny of the applications, the list of families without ration cards based on the caste census survey will be sent to the Collector and GHMC Commissioner of the respective districts. At the same time, at the mandal level, the MPDO and the Commissioner at the municipality level will carry out this process. The draft list of beneficiaries will be displayed in the Gram Sabha and wards and objections will be received. There will be an opportunity for changes and additions of family members. 

To apply for the same new ration card, you can get it from your nearest Mee Seva Kendra or from the Mee Seva official website. If you click on Mee Seva Service Form, applications of various departments will appear. Out of these, you have to select the Civil Supplies Department. Download the application and take a print out. Now you have to enter your name, age, gender, father's name, address, mobile number, Aadhaar card details. Attach the required supporting documents and pay the prescribed fee and submit it to Mee Seva Kendra. To apply, you should have a residence proof certificate, Aadhaar card copy, and a passport size photo.
