In preparation for a Team India return before the white-ball series against England, which began on January 22, and the next ICC Champions Trophy, Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav began practicing in nets.
Kuldeep posted a video of himself bowling in the nets on Instagram, seeming to be totally “locked in” to his practice.
After the conclusion of the Test series against New Zealand, Kuldeep was sent to the BCCI Centre of Excellence for a long-term solution to his chronic left groin problem, which prevented him from being selected for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy tour of Australia, which took place from November of last year to January of this year.
In October of last year, he got three wickets in the first Test of the New Zealand series, which was his last performance for India.
Kuldeep has a significant goal to go for upon his return: 300 international wickets. With the best bowling stats of 6/25, he has taken 297 wickets at an average of 22.50 in 159 international matches. In international cricket, he has claimed eight five-wicket hauls.
The five-match T20I series against England, which begins on January 22, does not include Kuldeep in its roster.
On January 22, the five-match T20I series will begin in Kolkata. Chennai and Rajkot will host the second and third games, respectively, on January 25 and 28. On January 31, the series’ fourth game will take place in Pune. The T20I series’ last game will take place in Mumbai on February 2.
On February 6th, the three-match ODI series will begin.
The ICC Champions Trophy, which will take place from February 19 to March 9, is the most recent test that India faces. Pakistan and the UAE will host it, while India will use a hybrid format to play its matches in the UAE.
The eight-team competition will take place in Dubai and around Pakistan, with 15 50-over matches. The tournament’s most important match between bitter rivals India and Pakistan is scheduled on February 23 in Dubai. On February 20, India will launch their assault against Bangladesh. On March 2, India will play their last league game against New Zealand.
Cricket World Cup 2023 winners Australia, Afghanistan, England, and South Africa are in Group B of the competition, while current winners Trophy holders and hosts Pakistan are in Group A, along with India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh.
