If you're a fan of TV then you would have heard the name before.
The actress is a household name for her roles in and Liar, and is currently starring in 's Saturday night drama, North Shore. Originally an Australian mystery crime thriller series, it's now being broadcast in the UK.
The plot revolves around British and Australian detective teams forced to collaborate on the murder investigation of the British trade minister's daughter, navigating a complex case amidst cultural differences. However, despite Froggatt's long-standing presence on our screens, many seem to forget her beginnings in a well-loved British TV show.
Soap fans might remember her as Zoe Tattersall in from 1997 to 1998. Prior to this, she even secured a role in an episode of The Bill in 1996.

It's easy to overlook the origins of our biggest stars when they go on to achieve so much in their careers. Classic Coronation Street clips occasionally resurface on , reminding viewers of Froggatt's time on the soap.
Fans confessed they hadn't seen these snippets "for years", but they've certainly jogged their memory. Corrie fans on have also been reminiscing about the success of the soap's alumni.

Froggatt, well-remembered for her role in Downton Abbey, has made quite an impact on screen with performances in Angela Black, Sherwood, Breathtaking and even appeared as Anthony's girlfriend Saskia in The Royle Family's special back in 2010.
Now 44, she recently celebrated motherhood with the arrival of her first child last year. Froggatt, whose marriage to IT consultant James Cannon ended in 2020 after eight years, co-founded a production company with him named Run It.
Currently, it's thought the actress is involved in an exciting new project called The Associate - a working title for what promises to be a gripping American crime drama penned by Ronan Bennett. Previously referred to as The Donovans, the show has evolved into a standalone series.
Since her time on the Cobbles, it's fair to say the actress has come a long way. Her career has taken her in so many different directions since the late '90s.
