Coldplay kickstarted their Music of The Spheres India tour in Mumbai on January 18th, and it was just like what it was expected to be - the best musical experience with a crowd of over 80000 fans at the DY Patil Stadium smiling, crying and making core memory for life!

"Your phone in your pocket, your hands in the sky – that’s how we’re going to make Mumbai fly,” Chris Martin said and the magic created by him and his bandmates ( Guy Berryman , Will Champion and Jonny Buckland ) was nothing short of his promise.

Chris Martin also brought a personal touch to the night, charming the audience with his attempts at Hindi. After wrapping up a song, he thanked fans with a heartfelt "Shukriya," and sparked cheers when he read a fan’s placard aloud, saying, " Jai Shri Ram ." Curious about its meaning, Martin's genuine interaction also won hearts during the show.

Adding a playful twist to the night, Martin surprised the crowd by giving a shoutout to India’s cricket sensation, Jasprit Bumrah , during one of the final performances. "Hold on," he joked, "we have to finish the show because Jasprit Bumrah wants to come and play backstage. He says he needs to bowl at me now."

Meanwhile, ahead of the concert, Chris made headlines alongside his girlfriend, Hollywood star Dakota Johnson , as they visited the historic Shri Babulnath Temple in Mumbai. Chris, 47, embraced the local traditions by wearing a blue kurta and a Rudraksha mala, while Dakota, 35, looked graceful in a simple printed suit, her head covered with a dupatta in respect for the temple’s customs. The couple, who have been together since 2017, seemed at ease, sharing a moment of quiet connection amidst the buzz of their busy lives.

After the shows in Mumbai at DY Patil Stadium on January 18, 19, and 21, the band will head to Ahmedabad to perform on January 25th and 26th.
