Jaipur: Cheating in recruitment exams has become such a big issue in Rajasthan that the recruitment agency Staff Selection Board (SSB) has to ban even the clothes with metal zip and buttons. Now, looking at the limited options of wearable clothes for the aspirants, the SSB has to include Kurta - Pajama in the prescribed dress code for recruitment exams.
“All male and female candidates note that they should not wear jeans, pants, or jackets with metal chains and metal zips; otherwise they will not be allowed to enter the examination center. That's why we have changed the dress code, now kurta - pajama are also allowed for male candidates. Share it with everyone as much as possible, “said the chairman of SSB Rajasthan Major General Alok Raj in his social media post.
Board Chairman Major General Alok Raj said that the metal zips and buttons were creating problems as the candidates were being checked with metal detectors. After brainstorming on this in the board meeting, it has been decided that any cloth which has a metal zip or chain attached to it will not be allowed. Now the Kurt-pajama has been included in the dress code for male candidates.
Notably, jewelry, rings, earings, sunglasses, hair pins, scarfs, caps, shawls are not allowed for candidates appearing in recruitment exams. Now with ban on metal zips and buttons, the denims which are the most common outfit among the youth are also under the black list.
It is noteworthy that apart from this frisking with metal detectors, the candidates will get entry only after biometric attendance, face scanning and eye scanning to prevent the entry of dummy or fake candidates.
Board Chairman Alok Raj said,” Videography of the entire process of every recruitment examination will also be done. CCTV cameras will be installed in all the rooms so that an online record of every moment of the examination is available."
