Telecom giants Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have introduced new prepaid plans in India focusing exclusively on voice calls and SMS services. The launch follows the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) recent directive requiring mobile service providers to offer separate plans tailored for customers who do not need mobile data.
Airtels New Prepaid Plans
Bharti Airtel has rolled out two new plans to cater to non-data users:
Rs 499 Plan: Offers unlimited voice calls 900 SMS and 84 days of validity.
Rs 1959 Plan: Includes unlimited voice calls 3600 SMS and a 365-day validity period.
Jios New Prepaid Plans
Reliance Jio has also unveiled two competitive options as listed on its website:
Rs 458 Plan: Features unlimited voice calls 1000 SMS and 84 days of validity.
Rs 1958 Plan: Offers unlimited voice calls 3600 SMS and a 365-day validity period.
