Bhopal: Wife Of Jayshree Gayatri Food Products' Director Kishan Modi Recuperates After Consuming Poison

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Jayshree Gayatri Foods Private Limited managing director Kishan Modi’s wife Payal Modi (31) is recovering after she gained consciousness a day after she consumed poisonous substance and was hospitalised.

Her husband said he would lodge a complaint at Chunabhatti police station and would demand action against those named in her suicide note. In the suicide note that was seized by police, Payal has alleged that action on her husband’s business establishment by EOW, Enforcement Directorate, CGST, FFSI were carried out at behest of Union Minister of Food Processing Industries Chirag Paswan’s relatives and their aides who had committed fraud in the company earlier.

Speaking to media persons on Friday, Kishan Modi claimed that crackdown against his company was a conspiracy against him by his company’s former director Chandra Prakash Pandey who was removed from his post in 2023 following certain issues.

Chandra Prakash is the brother of Lok Janshakti Party’s spokesperson and union minister Chirag Paswan’s brother-in-law Ved Prakash Pandey. He said that company’s former CEO Sunil Tripathi was involved in embezzlement of products worth Rs 80 crore and an FIR was lodged against him and some others at Habibganj police station in August 2023.

Soon after, an RTI activist Bhagwan Singh Rajput started making false complaints against his company to different agencies. “These persons are related to union minister Chirag Paswan and were using his influence to harass me and my family besides conspiring crackdown against my business establishments through government agencies. The union minister should know that his name was used for our harassment,” Kishan Modi said.

FIR Registered

An FIR has been registered against company’s CEO Sunil Tripathi of Gujrat and employees Hitesh Punjabi of Indore, Wamiq Siddiqui and Abhishek Tripathi of Prayagraj and Baljeet Sharma of Jammu by the finance officer of Jayashri Gayatri PVT Ltd Pradeep Kumar Rathore. Police investigations revealed that they were involved in irregularities in finance and production cell of in the company.

Additional DCP (crime) Shailendra Singh Chauhan said police submitted a charge sheet against the accused and arrested Sunil Tripathi on November 20, 2023. Warrants were issued by the court against the accused who were at large, he added.
