Sonu Nigam suffers terrible pain at concert: Know the health condition that caused it
Singer Sonu Nigam has shared a video on social media about his health condition. Fans and followers of the singer are concerned about his health, as he says he experienced excruciating pain before and while performing recently.
Sonu says just ahead of his show in Pune he felt unbearable pain. Lying on the bed, Sonu shares how his team helped ease the pain for him. In a video he is also seen stepping down from the stage.
So, what exactly happened? According to the singer, the dance moves that singers usually do during live performances can trigger spasm and maybe this happened with him.
“One of the most difficult days of my life but very fulfilling. I was thinking gaate gaate jhatka dete hai na (While singing we dance), that can also trigger the spasm. But I managed somehow. I never want to do less or give less when people expect so much from me. Ho gaya acha (It went well) I’m glad. This shaped up fine," he said.

A spasm is an involuntary and sudden contraction of a muscle or group of muscles. It can be brief or prolonged and may cause pain, stiffness, or discomfort. Spasms can occur in various parts of the body, such as the legs (e.g., cramps), back, or digestive tract. They may result from dehydration, muscle fatigue, nerve irritation, or underlying medical conditions like multiple sclerosis or dystonia.
Some spasms, like eye twitches, are harmless, while others may indicate a serious issue. Treatment includes stretching, hydration, massages, and medications if necessary.
Performers, dancers mostly, experience cramps mid-performance, disrupting movement and balance. Overexertion, repetitive movements, or poor posture trigger these spasms, affecting muscles in the legs, back, or feet. It also occurs due to muscle fatigue, dehydration, improper warm-up, or electrolyte imbalances.
As soon as the singer's health condition was revealed, concerns and well wishes poured in.
