In the Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh, two brothers fought over the last rites of their father. The younger son said that he had served his father. His father lived with him. Therefore, he has the right to perform the last rites. The elder son said that the father's body should be cut into two pieces and the last rites should be performed.

A strange case came to light today from Lidhaura Tal village of Jatara police station in Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh. After the death of their father, the two brothers had a dispute over the last rites of their father. The dispute between the two brothers escalated so much that one brother insisted that the body of his father be cut into two parts so that he could perform the last rites of one part and his brother could perform the last rites of the other part.

This whole matter is of Lidhaura Tal village, where after the death of the father, there was a dispute between two real brothers regarding his last rites. The dispute between the two brothers increased so much that the elder son started insisting on burning the father by cutting him into pieces. When the matter did not work out even after the persuasion of the family and relatives gathered at the funeral, the police were informed. After this, the police reached the spot and convinced both the brothers for the last rites, only then the father's last rites could be performed.

The elder son stopped the funeral

85-year-old Dhyani Singh Ghosh, a resident of Lidhora Tal, died on Monday morning. After his death, his son Damodar completed the preparations for his last rites. On receiving the information, the villagers as well as relatives reached his house and started preparing for the last rites, when Damodar's elder brother Kishan Singh Ghosh reached Damodar's house with his son and some other people and started insisting on performing the last rites of his father.

The elder son of the deceased was adamant

On this, Damodar refused to let him perform the last rites. He said that his father lived with him and he had served him. So he would perform the last rites of his father. There was a dispute between the two sons on this matter and the body of the father was also kept outside the house. The people of the village and relatives tried to convince both the brothers to perform the last rites of their father together, but the elder brother Kishan was not ready for this at all.

He said that the body of his father should be cut into two parts so that both brothers can perform the last rites of their father separately. When this did not work out, the police were informed about this and after the intervention of the police, the last rites of the deceased could be performed.
