Over 389.7 million devotees have taken a holy plunge in the revered Triveni Sangam since the festival’s inception, demonstrating the enormous attendance for Mahakumbh 2025.
Pilgrims from all over the world have praised the preparations made by the government, hailing the event as a spiritual and cultural spectacular.
As of right now, around 3.79 million devotees swam in the Magh Mela in Prayagraj till 8 a.m.
Over a million Kalpwasis are living on the Mela grounds, according to organizers, and 2.79 million pilgrims have come to the event so far today.As of February 5, 2025, there were more than 389.7 million devotees who have taken the sacred plunge since the start of the Mela.

“I just returned from the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, and I was impressed by the exceptional arrangements in place despite the massive crowds,” said a devotee who had just returned from the holy event. I felt fortunate and had a weird experience as I took a spiritual bath in the Ganges. The organizers have managed the large number of devotees well. “Jai Ganga Bhaiya!”
Bareilly native Ajay Gahlot expressed his happiness and feeling of accomplishment. “I enjoyed bathing in Gangajal’s holy water. Kumbh arrives every 144 years, and I consider myself lucky to have taken a dip in it. This event will never be forgotten. “The system was excellent,” he said.
While meeting with relatives, another devotee called the event “extraordinary.” “I’m glad my parents and I were able to attend the Mahakumbh at Prayagraj. I feel really lucky to have had the chance to take a holy swim once in a lifetime,” the devotee said.
Traveling from Ajmer, Rajasthan, Manjeet Kaur acknowledged his early concerns but commended the accommodations. “Yes, I feel really fortunate to be here. I saw films about the audience before I came, and it made me nervous. However, everything became clear after being here. There are no problems anywhere, and the arrangements are great. The darshan and the bath are both well handled. There is no worry of getting lost in Kumbh, unlike what some people claim.
Similar remarks were made by Amarnath Roy of Buxar, who said, “The accommodations are excellent, and we had a bath here. Every devotee will have a seamless experience since everything is being handled methodically.”
Additionally, Kusum Kumari Pandey from Buxar, Bihar, conveyed her appreciation. “We were able to enjoy a relaxing bath because of the excellent accommodations. Modi ji has accomplished a lot of things here. It’s very amazing,” she said.
PM Modi described his participation in a “Snan” at the Triveni Sangam, which is the meeting point of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers, earlier on Wednesday as a “divine” occasion.The Prime Minister said that after swimming in the Sangam, he was overcome with a sense of devotion in a post on X.
“Happy to be in Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh. Like the lakhs of people who have participated, I was thrilled with a feeling of devotion at the Snan at the Sangam, which is a moment of heavenly connection,” PM Modi said on X.
“May Maa Ganga bless all with peace, wisdom, good health and harmony,” he said.
Beginning on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), Mahakumbh 2025 is the biggest spiritual and cultural event in the world, drawing followers from all over the world. The Mahakumbh will continue till February 26th, Mahashivratri.
