Pakistan star batter Babar Azam shared a post on his official X account on Thursday, stating that he has lost his phone as well as all the contacts he had in it. The 30-year-old has faced this mishap right ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy where he is expected to play a major role for the Men in Green.
Babar also informed his fans that he will get right back to them once he finds his phone back. The batter’s post is now making rounds on social media.
“I have lost my phone and contacts. Will get back to everyone as soon as I find it,” Babar wrote on his official X account.
Babar has been going through a rough patch in Test cricket where he hasn’t been able to score a fifty for a long time. However, the same can’t be said for his performances in the one-day format where he was one of Pakistan’s star performers in their 3-0 series whitewash over South Africa.
Babar scored a total of 148 runs in the 3 ODIs against South Africa which includes 2 half-centuries that massively helped the Men in Green.
Pakistan will begin their Champions Trophy campaign with a clash against New Zealand which will also be the opening match of the tournament and will be held on February 19. They will then take on arch-rivals India on February 23 before capping off their group stage fixtures with the clash against Bangladesh which will be played on February 27.
