BSF Punjab Frontier took to X on Thursday to report that BSF forces have recovered a DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone from the Amritsar border sector based on specific intelligence data.

According to the BSF, the drone was recovered from Village Mahawa in District Amritsar after it had flown from the Pakistani side.

“In a series of successful operations against cross-border smuggling and infiltration attempts using drones, BSF remains resolute in its commitment to curbing such crimes and safeguarding national security,” it said.
In a drone-dropping case, the BSF arrested two suspected traffickers on February 2.

Following reliable information on drone activity from Pakistan, BSF soldiers successfully captured two Indian traffickers in the Gurdaspur area.

“Setting up a well-planned ambush, BSF troops intercepted the suspects as they retrieved a consignment dropped by a Pakistani drone,” the BSF said in a post on X.

According to the BSF, the smugglers were discovered in possession of 550 grams of heroin, which was confirmed to be a drone drop by the fact that it was wrapped in a yellow package with a hook. A Hero Splendor motorbike and two cell phones were also confiscated.

Both people were recognized as inhabitants of the same hamlet, Chanduwadala, Gurdaspur, where the surgery was conducted.

The BSF stated that this successful operation shows the agency’s unwavering commitment to fighting cross-border smuggling and thwarting Pakistan’s expanding drone menace.
