IND vs ENG : The first ODI match between India and England is being played in Nagpur. England won the toss and decided to bat first. England started off well after batting first, but then the English team lost the first wicket as a runout. Actually, both England openers Ben Duckett and Phil Salt had made a partnership of 71 runs for the first wicket. But Phil Salt lost his wicket due to a small mistake.

Actually, this incident happened in the 9th over when Hardik Pandya was bowling. On the fifth ball of this over, Phil Salt played a shot towards point and the ball started going towards the boundary. During this time Salt and Duckett had run 2 runs, but then Salt also ran for the third run. Duckett took a few steps forward at the non-striking end but then refused to take the third run, but Phil Salt had come halfway to the pitch. 

During this, Shreyas Iyer chased the ball and threw it very fast from the boundary and wicketkeeper L Rahul scattered the stumps. England lost their first wicket at the score of 75 runs. Phil Salt, who was in great form, had to lose his wicket for one run.

Phil Salt had already made his ODI debut for England and had scored 866 runs in 25 innings in his ODI career. However, he did not play a single ODI against Team India. However, Salt performed brilliantly in his first ODI match against India. He scored 43 runs in 26 balls and gave England a good start.
