has hinted that s future lies at Old Trafford after his impressive performance for on Friday night.
The Argentina international came off of the bench to lead the Red Devils to a 2-1 win over in the FA Cup, with the winger's pace and energy turning the tide in the tie.
However, it could have been a completely different story at the Theatre of Dreams given that Garnacho was the subject of interest from several top European sides in January.
Amorim is keen to move on from the chatter about the winger's potential exit though and dodged questions on how near the 20-year-old was to departing in the transfer window.
Napoli's attempt to secure the forward was rebuffed last month, and with also demonstrating interest, United considered offers to bolster their coffers in line with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
Ultimately, Garnacho remained, and under Amorim's guidance, he's been hitting his stride lately. His game-changing substitute appearances against FCSB and Leicester City have caught attention, and Amorim sang his praises for revitalising United in their FA Cup fourth-round match on Friday.
United were behind at halftime due to Bobby De Cordova-Reid's goal, yet Garnacho played a pivotal role in setting up Joshua Zirkzee's leveller and earning the free-kick that led to Harry Maguire's last-gasp victor.
"That is not important," Amorim remarked when asked about how close the Argentine was to leaving. "We want players like Garnacho, he is really important.
"He changed the game with the runs behind. You can feel the opponent is getting tired, adjusting with a lot of difficulties, not in the first half but in the second half to stop Garnacho in one-against-one, we're very happy with him and I think he helped a lot to change the game today."

Garnacho, who was dropped from the squad alongside Marcus Rashford for the Manchester derby in mid-December, has since redeemed himself and is back in favour - and therefore an exit now feels unlikely. Amorim attributed his turnaround to a straightforward process, noting that his progress is now evident on the field, saying: "He doesn't need a big change.
"We are talking about the standards, just to train well, receive the information, understand we want to help him, we want to play in a different system, but it's not complicated. He changed everything, he trains really well, he stayed on the bench for five consecutive games and every time he came on the pitch he was a different player, receptive to information and playing well. So, it's simple things, it's not a big thing. You can see it, I think he's improving."
