Dallas Mavericks player Anthony Davis dominated for three quarters with 26 points and 16 rebounds in his debut game against Houston Rockets before leaving with an apparent injury. While there is no official confirmation on the nature of his injury, there are concerns that he might suffer from ankle sprain.
The star big man was in peak form, overwhelming All-star Alperen Sengun on both ends of the floor and leading his team with a stellar performance.
Davis showcased his offensive versatility, scoring at will in the paint and knocking down mid-range jumpers. Defensively, he frustrated Sengun with his length and athleticism, forcing multiple turnovers.
However, late in the third quarter, Davis went down awkwardly and had to exit the game. The severity of the injury remains unclear, but his absence was immediately felt as the momentum shifted.
The team will provide further updates after medical evaluations.
