Barabanki: A shocking incident has come to light in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. Where a farmer has made serious allegations against the electricity department officer. The matter is of Shahpur Sidvi village of Loni Katra police station area, where a farmer family received an electricity bill of about 94 thousand 8 hundred 64 rupees.
The farmer was shocked to see the increased electricity bill. When the victim reached the office of the electricity department official to get the bill corrected, instead of getting the electricity bill corrected, he said, 'If you want to get the bill corrected, send your wife alone', I will correct it.
According to the information, the farmer's electricity bill had increased due to wrong reading. In return for correcting it, the officer put a bad condition. The farmer complained about this matter to the MD through the IGRS portal. UP Congress has also posted the video of the complainant on X and wrote that the women of the state were already troubled by goons and miscreants, now the officers protected by the government have also joined this list.
According to the complaint letter given by the applicant, on March 13, 2024, Executive Engineer Pradeep Kumar came for inspection. During this time also the said officer said that 'your wife is very beautiful'. After which he left, the next day the bill was increased further by taking wrong reading. After this, on March 16, 2024, the applicant complained about it. Then Pradeep put such a dirty condition in front of him.
After this, on 31 January 2025, the applicant again reached the office to complain. Where he found Pradeep near a turn outside. When the applicant requested, he said that now you will have to send your wife alone and also arrange for 40 thousand rupees, only then your connection will be activated. The applicant has demanded an inquiry and punishment against the officer in this case.
On this entire matter, the accused JE Pradeep Kumar said that all the allegations against me are false and baseless. He has also registered a case for this. The JE said that I have met the CO of Haidergarh and told him everything. The connection of his house was cut on 13 March 2024. I do not even know Ajit Rawat.
The accused JE says, he met me on 31st January, which is wrong. I have not even met him outside the office. The connections of those who do not deposit the money are cut. False allegations have been made by him so that he does not have to deposit the money. At present, the farmer has demanded an inquiry into the matter and action against the guilty officer.
