Mumbai: The Mumbai Police on Tuesday reached popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia's house in city's Versova area in the matter related to his vulgar comments on comedian Samay Raina's show 'India's Got Latent'. Allahabadia, aka BeerBiceps, is making headlines for his 'inappropriate' question on the show, where he asked a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life — or join in once and stop it forever?"

The episode also featured content creators like Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh and Apoorva Mukhija aka The Rebel Kid. Multiple complaints have been filed against Allahbadia.

Following complaints, a Parliamentary panel on information technology is discussing whether to summon Allahbadia

After the backlash, Ranveer issued an apology and called it a 'lapse in judgement.' He said, "My comment wasn't just inappropriate; it wasn't even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here. Many of you asked if this is how I wish to use my platform and obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just here for an apology."

Ranveer continued, "I personally had a lapse in judgement... Wasn't cool on my part. The podcast is watched by people of all ages and I don't want to be the kind of person that takes that responsibility lightly, and family is the last thing that I would ever disrespect."

Ranveer's Latent episode premiered last week, and was removed from the Youtube after receiving a notice from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry. Initially, the episode was available exclusively to members before being made public, sparking outrage.
