Govt School Teacher Arrested For Trying To Touch Class 7 Student Inappropriately in Tiruppur

A government school teacher was arrested for allegedly misbehaving with a class 7 student. Reportedly, the man tried to touch the student inappropriately. The accused has been identified as Sundara Vadivel. The incident took place in Tamil Nadu's Tirupur.
The Tirupur police initiated an inquiry into the matter after the victim's parents complained to the headmaster. A team led by district child protection officer Riyas Ahmed investigated the case.
As a part of the inquiry, all students from the concerned class were individually interviewed and written complaints were received. Following the inquiry, the police arrested Sundara Vadivel under the POCSO Act.
Sexual Assault Case
In separate news, three teachers from a government school in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, have been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting an eighth-grade student. The assault came to light after the principal visited the girl's home to find out why she had been absent from school for a month.
The arrested teachers are Chinnasamy (57), Arumugam (37), and Prakash (37). Following the incident, the girl's family and relatives held a protest, blocking a road to demand justice. The school has now suspended all three teachers.
Woman Attacked, Molested Then Thrown Off Moving Train
A horrific incident took place on the Coimbatore-Tirupati intercity express train, leaving a four-month pregnant woman injured and traumatised. The woman was en route to Chitoor when a man came to sexually assault her and when she resisted he pushed her from the moving train.
The incident occurred as the train was passing through Katpadi. The victim was reportedly heading towards the washroom when a man attacked her. Distressingly, after the woman cried out for help, the accused shoved her out of the train's door.
