Members of One Direction Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik have made a smart decision on a reunion some months after the tragic demise of Liam Payne.
According to sources, the four musicians were approached with an offer for a special tribute at this month’s BRIT Awards. After much soul-searching, they have collectively decided against it, as they feel that it wouldn’t be appropriate at this time for such a public display of remembrance.
“It’s been a really emotional time for them, and it feels from their point of view that a performance would be overwhelming,” said an insider to The Daily Mail. “They have decided there is no need for a public tribute and to grieve privately. While fans around the world would love to see them united on stage again, they feel this isn’t the right moment for it.”
Brilliant tributes to Liam are expected at the BRIT Awards, with host Jack Whitehall reportedly readying a special segment in honor of him. The former bandmates have voiced their grief while continuing to honor Liam’s memory differently.
He fell from a third-floor hotel balcony in Argentina and was lamentably terminated in October. The singer was only 31 years old.
While fans have long hoped for one, a reunion is not in the works, according to reports. “Zayn is in America, and they are all at different stages of their lives and careers,” said the source. “So full-scale reunification is out at the moment.”
Though no concert will allow their magic to reignite, in this difficult time, the bond of brotherhood will endure among the ex-singers.
