The surprising thing is that after this incident, the man went to Kumbh took a bath and returned home. He thought that after taking a bath in Kumbh, his misdeeds would be washed away, but this did not happen.
In fact, on February 5, 2025, Sonu Kumar, a resident of Ghaghra in the district, was taking his girlfriend Anurika Kumari to Maha Kumbh on a bike. The girl had to go to the washroom in Dehri, then the lover parked the bike in a deserted area and took the girlfriend to the bushes on the side of the road.
Here, when her daughter did not return, Anurika's mother informed the Bishunpur police station. She said that her daughter Anurika has gone to Kumbh with Sonu, but has not returned yet. As soon as the matter reached the police, Sonu was called to the police station for questioning, where his lies started getting exposed during the interrogation.
After this, when the police started being strict, the accused Sonu spilt the beans. After getting the information, the Bihar police reached Bishunpur and took the accused with them. Meanwhile, the relatives of the deceased have left for Dehri to bring the body.
Bishunpur police station in-charge Rakesh Kumar Singh said that Anurika and Sonu Kumar were in love for two years. Anurika was pressuring Sonu for marriage. Sonu did not want to get married. The girl had also given written information to Gumla Mahila police station and Bishunpur police station.
After killing his girlfriend by strangling and stabbing her with a knife, the lover Sonu Kumar said that he works as a courier boy. In the month of April 2023, he had gone to deliver Anurika's online parcel. He went to Banalat to deliver it and they met each other.
After this, they started talking on the phone as well. They also had a physical relationship and the girl wanted to get married.
