According to The StarChou stated during an interview on Feb. 20: “Mourning someone is relatively easy for me, but commenting extensively would be too painful.”

He also disclosed that he has not recently been in contact with Hsu’s family, adding: “I rarely appear on variety shows either, so we hardly ever meet.”

When queried about an incident where a fake social media account bearing his name posted multiple tributes following Hsu’s death, the actor disclosed that he was first made aware of it during the interview. He noted that such online impersonations are common and he usually ignores them unless they convey extreme sentiments.

The actor also emphasized that the feelings of Hsu’s family should be prioritized.

“People like me on the sidelines aren’t a priority,” he remarked.

Chou, 44, and Hsu first connected on the set of the 2001 hit drama series “Meteor Garden,” and their paths crossed again during the filming of the 2004 drama “Mars.” Their relationship became public when Hsu was seen visiting Chou after he had a car accident, lasting until 2008.

Hsu’s death at age 49 was confirmed by a statement from her sister, Taiwanese host Dee Hsu, on Feb. 3, after initial speculations on Facebook. Subsequent leaks of medical reports indicated that she had missed two critical medical interventions while in Japan.
