Important dates have been announced for the candidates wishing to apply to NASA's internship program. Applications for Summer 2025 can be made till February 28, 2025, while the last date for application for Fall 2025 is May 16, 2025. NASA Internships 2025: Eligibility Criteria

OSTEM Internship

Candidate must be a US citizen

Candidate must be a full-time student (from high school to graduate level) or a part-time college student enrolled in at least six semester hours

Candidate can also be a current teacher

Pathways Internship

Candidate must be a US citizen

The candidate must be a degree or certificate seeking student enrolled at least half-time at an accredited academic institution.
The candidate must have completed a minimum of 15 semester hours or 23 quarter hours.
The candidate must have the ability to complete a minimum of 480 work hours prior to completion of degree/certificate requirements.

International Internship

The candidate must be a citizen of a country with which NASA has a current agreement.

The candidate must be a student pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) that relates to NASA's mission priorities.

Opportunities Outside of Engineering

While many people think NASA only offers engineering internships, the truth is that NASA offers opportunities to students from a variety of academic fields. In addition to engineering, NASA's workforce also includes professionals in areas such as math, science, accounting, writing, information technology, project management, and program analysis.

Non-engineering interns play a vital role in supporting NASA's mission by assisting with business and program management functions, such as supply, budget, accounting, IT, and security.
