Two men have been injured in a in town centre.

The incident happened at about 7.23pm tonight in Richmond Hill Drive.

Two men sustained stab wounds and were taken to hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

The emergency services are at the scene and a cordon is in place.

One man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of the incident and a cordon is in place while enquiries are carried out at the scene.

"There will be an increased police presence in the area and we would encourage anyone with information or concerns to please speak with an officer."
