Islamabad: Despite having trouble finding a location for the two-day gathering, the opposition coalition Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-e-Pakistan (TTAP) began its second and last day of the grand conference in Islamabad on Thursday, according to The Express Tribune.

TTAP accused the government of pressing the hotel management to cancel permission for the second day of the event, which began Wednesday at the Legend Hotel in Islamabad. For two days, the TTAP officials convened at the location to talk about political instability, human rights abuses, constitutional infractions, and freedom of expression.

Salman Akram Raja, the secretary general of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), former Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, opposition leader Omar Ayub, and other prominent political leaders attended the meeting.

The great alliance vowed to organize the summit at whatever costs and accused the government of attempting to stop it. According to The Express Tribune, there was a significant police and Frontier Constabulary (FC) presence outside the hotel when Shahid Khaqan Abbasi arrived at the scene.

The ‘Duffer Award’ should be given on March 23 to those who encouraged Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to prevent the conference from taking place, according to Omar Ayub, the National Assembly’s opposition leader.

Omar Ayub was unhappy with Pakistan’s present situation, saying, “The country is not progressing.” He attacked the administration, accusing it of being an “installment 47” government that did not have popular consent. He criticized the government’s efforts at newspaper ads, emphasizing that they would not result in advancement.

Despite the province government’s resistance, Ayub called for a public demonstration in Balochistan in his address. He said that they had brought up the missing people problem with Pakistan’s Chief Justice.

He also urged the federal government to fulfill its responsibilities to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa people. As he put it, “We are here to strengthen the state and defend the Constitution, particularly Article 7, which clearly defines the state.” He emphasized the need to respect the Constitution and the rule of law.

The Opposition Grand Alliance said earlier Wednesday that the government was attempting to halt their scheduled conference, emphasizing that the event will go according to its agenda in spite of the challenges, according to The Express Tribune.

After an important meeting, the leaders of the alliance, including Omar Ayub, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, and others, discussed the situation in a news conference.

According to Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the alliance has spent the last week attempting to reserve a location for the gathering. He claims that the national cricket team had to travel through, which is why the original location was first canceled and then a second one. “Entire cricket is often put on hold for cricket,” he said.

According to the story, the hotel administration stepped in and threatened to close the market if the alliance attempted to reserve a third location. Journalists, attorneys, and political leaders attended the gathering, according to Abbasi, despite these obstacles.
