A gruesome crime has come to light in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, where a man brutally murdered his girlfriend after she insisted on marriage. The accused slit her throat, leaving her body behind while disposing of the severed head two kilometers away. The crime took place two days ago, but within 48 hours, the police solved the case and arrested the accused in Mathura. After questioning, the accused was presented in court and sent to jail.
The case is from Jagannathpur village in the Nanpara Kotwali police station area. On Friday morning, a headless body of a young woman was discovered on the banks of a canal. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the scene, identified the deceased, and sent the body for post-mortem. Investigations revealed that the victim was Amina, a resident of Chamar Purva village under the Malhipur police station area. Further inquiries led the police to her boyfriend, Asif Raza alias Faizan Ali.
Tracking Asif's location, police found that he was at the crime scene during the incident. He was traced to Mathura, where a police team apprehended him. Initially, Asif attempted to mislead investigators, but under pressure, he confessed to the crime, making shocking revelations.
Asif admitted that while he was in love with Amina, he had no intention of marrying her. However, Amina was persistently pressuring him for marriage. To escape the situation, he devised a plan to eliminate her. On the pretext of taking her to a movie, he later lured her into a forest on his bike. There, he beheaded her and disposed of the head separately.
Police recovered the severed head, along with the accused’s clothes and bike, from his house. Additional Superintendent of Police, Durga Prasad Tiwari, confirmed that the accused first took Amina to watch a movie and later murdered her on the way back.
