New Delhi: One of India’s most remarkable women business leaders Namita Thapar stands out of the crowd due to her business acumen and stylish lifestyle. Namita is at the helm of Emcure Pharmaceuticals and a prominent investor in Shark Tank India investing in over 100 companies. She is also the founder of Thapar Entrepreneur Academy. Daughter of businessman Satish Ramanlal Mehta she completed her MBA from Duke Universitys Fuqua School of Business in 2001 and is a Chartered Accountant from ICAI. She has achieved massive success in both her professional and personal lives. She is one of the leading names in the market and also an epitome of luxurious lifestyle. She owns expensive lavish homes and cars and boasts of a net worth of hundreds of crores. As the Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals she is one of the wealthiest judges on Shark Tank India and has been part of the show for three seasons. According to media reports her net worth is estimated at Rs 600 crore a major chunk of which comes from Emcure. Namita moved to the United States after earning her MBA where she held the position of Business Finance head at Guidant Corporation a medical device company. Coming back to India she joined Emcure Pharmaceuticals as CFO and went on to become the Executive Director. Namita has been part of Shark Tank India since its beginning. During the first season she reportedly charged Rs 8 lakh per episode and invested nearly Rs 10 crore in 25 companies on the show. Her investments include start-ups like Bummer Altor (a smart helmet company) cocktail brand InACan and ready-to-cook food manufacturer Wakao Foods. Namita’s Pune residence is valued at Rs 50 crore. She owns a collection of luxury vehicles including a BMW X7 worth Rs 2 crore a Mercedes-Benz GLE and an Audi Q7.
