Sunita Williams Returning Earth: Earlier, the day of Sunita Williams' landing on Earth was fixed for Wednesday, but after the weather conditions became favorable, it was scheduled earlier.

Sunita Williams Returning Earth:  Now a good news has come about Sunita Williams, who has been stuck with her partner Butch Wilmore on the International Space Station for more than 9 months. International Space Agency NASA said on Sunday (March 16, 2025) that Sunita Williams will return to Earth with her partner on Tuesday (March 18, 2025) evening. She is returning to Earth a day before her schedule.

"NASA and SpaceX also held a meeting to assess weather and splashdown conditions off the coast of Florida for the return of the agency's Crew-10 mission," a NASA official said.

Sunita Williams will return at 3:30 am Indian time

NASA issued a statement on Sunday saying, "The astronauts will land on Tuesday evening at around 5.57 pm (2157 GMT)." According to Indian time, Sunita Williams will land on Earth at 3:30 in the morning. Earlier, her landing day was fixed for Wednesday, but it was scheduled earlier after the weather conditions were favorable. NASA is constantly monitoring the situation.

Landing will be telecasted live

NASA has also announced that they will show the return of Crew-10 live and share the updated schedule on their website. Astronaut Nick Hague and Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Gorbunov, who went to bring back Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, will also return on the Dragon capsule. The live telecast of the return journey will begin on Monday evening with preparations for closing the hatch.

She went for 7 days but is returning after 9 months

For Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, this was an unexpected 9-month stay, which is now about to end. Both of them reached the ISS in June 2024 last year on Boeing's Starliner. The mission was scheduled for seven days, but due to technical problems in the Starliner, they got stuck there, after which NASA now sent another team to the ISS to bring them.
