Pakistan Money Loss in Champions Trophy 2025: Pakistan got the hosting of an ICC event i.e. Champions Trophy 2025 after a long wait of 29 years. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) would be hoping that it will benefit by thousands of crores of rupees from the Champions Trophy, but in reality the opposite has happened. Pakistan has suffered a huge loss due to this tournament.

First of all, Pakistan had spent a lot of money in renovating the grounds of Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi. At the same time, India refused to cross the border, as a result PCB had to adopt a hybrid model for India's matches. In such a situation, 5 matches were organized in Dubai instead of Pakistan.

PCB suffered a loss of Rs 7,445 crore due to Champions Trophy

10 matches were played in Pakistan, some of which were washed out due to rain. According to The Telegraph report, Pakistan's loss can be very high, which can go up to Rs 7,445 crore. Let us tell you that these figures are in Pakistani currency. In the same report, it was told that Pakistan had spent Rs 4,823 crore to make the grounds of Champions Trophy new, which was 50 percent more than the fixed budget.

Apart from this, Rs 3,320 crore was spent separately in the preparations of the event. The total earnings from the hosting fees of the matches and the sale of tickets reached only Rs 498 crore. It was claimed that Pakistan's total loss is Rs 7,445 crore.

Pakistan also suffered losses due to early exit

Despite being the host of Champions Trophy 2025, Pakistan was eliminated from the tournament in the group stage itself. Pakistan could not register a single win in the entire tournament, it was defeated by India and New Zealand, while its match against Bangladesh was washed out due to rain. The broadcasting hype was also affected badly due to the poor performance of the Pak team.
