India has to send Chandrayaan-4 mission before Chandrayaan-5. This is to be sent to collect samples from the surface of the moon. The government had approved the Chandrayaan-4 mission only last year. This mission is to be completed for the capacity building of safe landing on the moon and then its safe return. Also, the target is to develop technology to collect samples in it.

Whereas before this, India has completed 3 Chandrayaan missions. India's Chandrayaan-3 mission was the first Lunar mission in the world, in which Rover landing on the southern pole of the moon.
