The captains of every Indian Premier League (IPL) team are going to meet in Mumbai for a much-important pre-season meeting this Thursday. As per a report in Cricbuzz, the meeting is going to be held at noon at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) headquarters.
According to the emails that BCCI/IPL management have sent the franchises, the meeting is more like a briefing, and is going to take place for an hour. The teams are going to be updated on the additions and changes in the upcoming season during this time period.
The program is going to run for a total of four hours, and is going to end with the traditional picture shoot that includes all captains. The meetings held and the pictures are taken in the city where the season opening is held. However, since all this is being held in BCCI’s office, the chances are high that there is more going on here than the normal review of regulations.
As per recent report from different camps, most of the players who played in Champions Trophy have reached their respective teams. On March 22, Kolkata Knight Riders are going to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
All of the team captains have been announced. Axar Patel will lead DC, Pat Cummins will lead SRH, Travel Giikwad will lead CSK, Rajat patidar will lead RCB, Rishabh pant will lead LSG, Shreyas Iyer will lead PBKS, Sanja Samson will lead RR, Ajinkya rahane will lead KKR, Hardik Pandya will lead MI, and Shubman Gill will lead GT.
