19 Naxalites surrender in Bijapur, reward of 28 lakhs at 9

Chhattisgarh News: In Naxal -affected Bijapur of Chhattisgarh, security forces have got great success. Here 19 Naxalites have surrendered before them. The reward was declared on 9 of the Naxalites surrendering. Giving information, police officials said that on Monday, the prize Naxalites include Deva Padam, Deva's wife Dule Kalamu, Suresh Kattam, Soni Punem, Narayan Kattam, Anda Madavi, Bami Kuharami, Shankar Kadati and Munna Podiyam.

The official further said that innocent tribals are being exploited by senior commanders in Naxalite organizations, due to which dissatisfaction is increasing among the lower level workers. Apart from this, these Naxalites surrendered after being impressed by the camps of security forces set up by the government and the development works being done under the 'Nia Nellanar' plan.

Naxalites were active in AOB and Pamed

The Naxalites who surrendered were active in separate positions in the Andhra-Odisha border (AOB) division and pamade regional committee. The most prominent of these is Deva Padam (30) and his wife Dule Kalmu (28), who was a senior member in the Battalion No.1 of the Maoist organization and on which a reward of Rs 8-8 lakh was declared.

Apart from this, there was a reward of Rs 5 lakh on a member of the regional committee called Suresh Kattam (21). Another surrendered Naxalite had a reward of Rs 2 lakh, while 5 Naxalites had a reward of Rs 1-1 lakh.

Will get the benefit of government schemes

The police officer said the District Reserve Guard (DRG), Bastar Fighters, Special Task Force (STF), CRPF and its special unit Cobra (Cobra) played an important role in the surrender of Naxalites. All the Naxalites who surrendered were given immediate assistance of Rs 25,000 under the government's rehabilitation policy and they will also be given the benefit of government schemes.

So far this year, 84 Naxalites have surrendered in Bijapur district. At the same time, 792 Naxalites decided to return to the mainstream in the entire Bastar region last year. Police and administration are constantly working in this direction so that more and more Naxalites can leave the path of violence and return to the path of development.
