Zepto, one of the leaders in the quick commerce sector, has announced its entry into the fast-paced race of delivering Apple products.

The company aims to provide rapid delivery of popular items like iPhone 16e, AirPods, and other charging accessories within just 10 minutes.

This comes after similar initiatives by competitors Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart.

Abhimanyu Singh, Zepto's electronics category business head, said the company is "making premium technology accessible right away."

He added their strategy is "changing how people shop for expensive gadgets."

Zepto has also witnessed a whopping 35% month-on-month increase in searches for Apple products. This shows how much consumers are looking for quick access to high-end electronics.

In just the last month, more than a million users have searched for Apple items on Zepto. These include popular products such as the iPhone 16E, AirPods 4, and iPads.

Singh revealed that "Our sellers are working closer with Apple to expand the product range."

He further added that they are "reshaping the electronics shopping experience to be quicker, simpler, and smoother than ever."


Blinkit's foray into Apple product delivery

Just two weeks ago, Zomato-owned Blinkit entered the Apple product delivery space.

The service now lists a selection of Apple devices including iPads, AirPods, MacBook Air, and Apple Watch in a number of major Indian cities.

This expansion has further heated the competition among quick commerce players looking to deliver premium tech products at lightning speed.

The Indian quick commerce industry is growing quickly beyond groceries.

Companies such as Zepto, Blinkit, and Swiggy Instamart are now exploring segments such as beauty products, electronics, toys, stationery items, kitchen goods, and fashion.

They have even started delivering food items such as snacks meals drinks within a mere 10 minutes owing to their strong supply chains.


India's quick commerce industry set for significant growth

According to a report by Bain & Company and IVCA, India's quick commerce industry is poised for explosive growth.

By FY25, it is expected to make up over 10% of the total value of goods sold in India's e-commerce market.

A TeamLease report anticipates a more than 40% increase in monthly shoppers, with average orders per customer going up from 4.4 in 2021 to six in 2024.
