A popular TV actress best known for playing Ragini Gadodia Maheshwari in Swaragini – Jodein Rishton Ke Sur was born in Saudi Arabia. She is an engineer by profession and graduated in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Mumbai University. After gaining fame from Swaragini she participated in reality shows like Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10 and Bigg Boss 15 (2021) where she emerged as the winner. She later made her Marathi film debut with Mann Kasturi Re (2022) which earned her a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut - Marathi.

Tejasswi Prakash is currently winning hearts with her performance on Celebrity MasterChef India. In a recent episode her mother made a special appearance and the actress opened up about her familys financial struggles during her childhood. She shared that her mother had to raise her and her brother alone while their father was working in Jeddah. Since she was on her own her mother had to take extra care of her especially as a girl. Recalling their tough times Tejasswi said When we were struggling financially my mother went door-to-door selling policies.
Her mother also shared her hardships saying We had no money. She (Tejasswi) was always my biggest support. I even sold onions in sacks to make ends meet.
Tejasswi further revealed an emotional moment from their past - she once wished for a car but due to financial constraints her mother mortgaged her gold bangles to buy her a second-hand one. Overwhelmed her mother was seen wiping her tears. The actress also shared that she participated in a two-day fashion show where she earned Rs 5000 and gave the entire amount to her mother as a gesture of gratitude.
