In Rewari, a collaborative effort between the Government of India and the Haryana state has initiated the Awas Plus 2.0 survey under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin. This initiative aims to identify impoverished and homeless families, ensuring that no family in the state is left without housing. District Collector Abhishek Meena emphasized this commitment.

During a video conference held in the mini-secretariat auditorium, the District Collector and other officials received directives from Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini regarding the disbursement of the first installment of financial assistance to eligible beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin. They assured that effective measures would be taken in line with the scheme.

DC Abhishek Meena stated that the government's positive approach is now yielding results, providing beneficiaries with permanent housing. He mentioned that no family in the district should remain homeless. To avail of this scheme, homeless rural families can complete certain procedures using their mobile phones to conduct their own surveys. Two essential apps, Awas Plus and Aadhaar Face RD, are available for this purpose.

Meena urged families living in dilapidated or unsafe conditions, or those without a solid home, to participate in the survey and benefit from the scheme. After families complete their surveys, the information will be sent online to the designated surveyor, who will then inspect the home and verify the details before granting the benefits of the housing scheme. The District Collector appealed to all villagers to assist needy families in their communities to take advantage of this government initiative.
