Rizwan Sajan was born into a middle-class family in Mumbai wherein he faced many hardships early in life. After his father’s untimely death he moved to Kuwait in 1981 where he worked as a trainee salesman. This experience developed his skills as a sales person.
According to a Forbes India report Sajan with his sisters used to walk a few kilometres to reach school. The pocket money he used to get was only Rs 15 in total for all the kids/ It was very less that they couldn’t buy much from the school canteen. At a young age he decided to earn some money and lend Rs 1000 from his father.

In 1993 Rizwan Sajan founded Danube Group a company specializing in construction materials. Over time the group entered into home decor and real estate development and became one of the leading businesses in the UAE. Today Danube operates in Saudi Arabia Oman Bahrain Qatar India and other countries earning annual revenues of 10 billion dirhams.
With a daily income of Rs 32 crore Sajan is one of the richest Indians in Dubai. In a viral Instagram reel he gave credit to his ability as a salesman calling it his greatest quality. He emphasized that wealth is not a need for success but skills and perseverance are what truly matter.
“I am confident that even if I lose all my money I can rebuild my business empire from scratch. I am the kind of person who can make money even in the jungles of Africa” Sajan declared.
In another interview he once said “Similarly even if you’re lucky but you don’t work hard you are bound to fail” he adds.
