Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Misa Bharti questioned Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s mental and physical health on Friday after he was allegedly caught “talking” during the playing of the national anthem at a function in Patna. She also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah ought to consider who controls Bihar.
“Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar did not seem to be in good physical or mental health during the playing of the national anthem. I would want to know whether PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah thought his mental health was okay. Every day, he insults women and children. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Modi have to consider who controls Bihar, Bharti said ANI.
In Patna, RJD leader Mukesh Raushan demonstrated against the chief minister and called for an apology.
Rabri Devi, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, urged Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to step down and “appoint Nishant Kumar as the chief minister” if he is not in the correct frame of mind.
JD(U) spokesman Neeraj Kumar, on the other hand, denied the criticism and defended Nitish Kumar’s patriotism.
“Nitish Kumar is the son of a freedom fighter,” Kumar said in reference to the Chief Minister’s actions during the playing of the National Anthem. He has made reverence for freedom warriors a national institution. Nitish Kumar was the first to provide identification cards to the relatives of independence fighters in both Independent Bihar and India, however most individuals get them based on their ancestry. There is no doubt that he respects the National Anthem.
