Nearly five years after the tragic death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on March 22 2025 filed a closure report. In the report CBI has put an end to all the speculations revolving around his death and stated that it was a suicide. Further the report also gave a clean chit to the late actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her family. Rhea posted for the first time on Instagram after receiving the clean chit. The actress took to social media and shared a bunch of pictures from her reality show MTV Roadies. The actress donned a brown-colored leather jacket along with a crop top and tights of the same material. Further in one of the pictures Rhea can also be seen posing next to Rannvijay Singha Neha Dhupia and Elvish Yadav who are all team leaders on the show. However what caught the attention of the fans was the song that the actress used as background music. She chose Satisfied by Catching Flies. Releasing a statement the celebrated advocate said “The CBI has filed a closure report in connection with the death of Sushant Singh Rajput after almost four years. We are grateful to the CBI for having thoroughly investigated every aspect of the case from all angles and closed the case. The amount of false narrative in social media and electronic media was totally uncalled for. The statement further added Due to the pandemic everyone was glued to the TV and social media in the absence of anything happening in the country. Innocent people were hounded and paraded before the media and investigative authorities. I hope this does not repeat in any case.” The statement concluded “I beseech the captains of the media to reflect upon what they did. Rhea Chakraborty underwent untold miseries and was behind bars for 27 days for no fault of hers until Justice Sarang V. Kotwal released her on bail. I salute her and her family for having kept silent and yet suffered the inhuman treatment they were meted. They came to me through a close friend and defense personnel who are close friends of mine with whom I studied in a Sainik School. Both Rhea’s family and my team & I were hounded and threatened with danger to our lives. I must say nothing deterred us from carrying out our legal duties.” Meanwhile Sushant Singh Rajputs family is yet to respond to the matter.
