New Delhi: Jet engine is a highly complex and technically challenging tool, which not only requires excessive expertise in making, but also includes high quality materials, accurate engineering, and heavy cost of time and money. In this report, we will try to understand why it is so difficult to make a jet engine, and why only a few select countries are able to make it.

1. Complex technique:

The jet engine consists of a variety of complex components, with compressor, turbine, and burner. The function of these components should be in coordination with each other, so that the engine can function correctly at high speed and temperature. These components have to work at extremely high speed and temperature, allowing a small failure or error to damage the entire system.

2. Accurate Engineering:

The construction of a jet engine is an engineering challenge in which accuracy is a very important place. A slight disturbance can destroy the performance of the engine. Each component is designed to fit and work perfectly with each other. Advanced techniques are used to accurately shape all components, such as computer-aided design (CAD) and 3D printing. It is only through these techniques that the smallest error in the engine structure can also be removed, so that the performance of the engine is favorable.

3. High quality materials:

The jet engine faces high temperatures and pressure, so the quality of the material used in it is highly important. Blade and other parts of turbine, which work at extremely high temperatures, are prepared from high temperatures tolerating metals and alloys. In addition, they require special types of processing to ensure the strength, lightness and stability of these materials. For example, super-alice and titanium alloys are used, which also maintain their structure in excessive pressure and temperature.

4. High cost and time:

Development of jet engine is an expensive and time -consuming task. The construction of a jet engine is the result of years of hard work and research. In addition, the construction process requires many high-technical devices and machines, which make it expensive. Also, a jet engine test is also highly expensive. The engine is tested under real flight conditions, so that it can be ensured that it will function correctly under any unequal situation. All these processes significantly increase the total cost of the engine.

5. Need expertise:

To create a jet engine, not only expertise in one area, but a variety of engineering is required. It has all the role of mechanical engineering, metalgical engineering, and electrical engineering. Coordinating these experts and bringing different parts of the jet engine together is a very big challenge.

Why only 5 countries create jet engines?

It is possible to achieve only a few countries to achieve the technical efficiency, high quality materials, and expertise that is required to create a jet engine. This is the reason that currently only a few major countries – such as the United States, Russia, China, France, and Britain -Jet engines are capable of making engines. These countries not only have the necessary technical infrastructure, but they also have the necessary resources and human resources for it.
