According to News18 Showsha, earlier, producer Mukesh Bhatt had addressed the increasing demand for Awarapan and Jannat's re-release. He admitted to the rising demand but stopped short of confirming anything.
"Oh my god! I have been hearing this from everywhere. Yes, people have been approaching me about this. But I believe in giving the audience what they truly want," Bhatt said.
Meanwhile, Hashmi pondered over Awarapan's surprise cult status over the years despite its dismal box office in 2007.
