Mumbai: A woman in the city allegedly severed the genitals of her stepfather after being fed up with sexual exploitation for over two years. The 24-year-old woman used a knife to sever the genitals of his stepfather in a chawl in Nalasopara East around 3:00 pm on Monday. The man was seriously injured in the attack and was admitted to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali for treatment.
Police said the woman attacked her 56-year-old stepfather after he tried to force himself on her. Fed up with regular torture, she asked him to get blindfolded and tie a cloth to his eyes, reported Hindustan Times. She took the opportunity and attacked the man with a knife, severing his genitals.
Her stepfather screamed and ran out of the house with blood all over his clothes. However, it did not end there. The woman chased him down and stabbed him on the road while bystanders were left shocked and many even made videos. Someone from the onlookers informed the police and the man was rushed to a hospital.
Police said the woman has been taken into custody and sent for medical examination, the HT report added. Police officers said that they are in the process of registering a rape case against the stepfather. A case with an attempt to murder charges against the woman, under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita will also be registered, the cops added.
“We are carrying out further investigation. We will record the woman’s statement soon,” said an officer from Tulinj police station, the report added.
