Emmerdale has unveiled another concerning development in the Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) murder mystery as Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) begins to probe into the whereabouts of the 'missing' pensioner.

Earlier this year, Anthony, a known abuser, was brutally attacked by Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) until he was near death. The final blow was dealt by Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly).

John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) then concealed Anthony's body in the woods, with everyone agreeing to keep his murder hushed up.

Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) recently found out that her mother Ruby had been sexually abused by her own father Anthony, who is also Steph's biological father, leaving her distraught.

The Miligans and Dingles have since been attempting to hide the truth about Anthony, lying about his actual location.

Consequently, Jai has noticed that Caleb, Ruby, and Steph seem uneasy whenever Anthony's name comes up. He's now resolved to uncover the family secret they're hiding, reports .

During Tuesday's episode (March 25), Jai saw that Steph was vulnerable and seized the chance to learn more about her family. He reassured her that he's a good listener and encouraged her to confide in him.

Steph almost spilled the beans about Anthony to Jai, but they were interrupted by Caleb, who was already suspicious of Jai's prying.

After Steph left the depot, Caleb misled Jai, claiming that Anthony had fled the village out of fear.

However, as a suspicious Jai probes the Miligan's for information about Anthony, some viewers are apprehensive that he could meet a fatal end if he uncovers the truth.

One fan expressed their concern on X, writing: "If Jai finds out, he's not going to the police, he'll try to blackmail Caleb, and he'll end up dead because that's what usually happens in #Emmerdale."

Another viewer predicted: "Steph tells Jai... Jai will be gone next! #Emmerdale", while another echoed: "Jai will wind up dead if he keeps putting in his nose in everything #emmerdale."

One worried viewer speculated: "Wondering if Jai will end up in danger if he keeps pursuing the Anthony disappearance.. suppose the Miligan's will do anything to keep the secret quiet.. #Emmerdale".

Another added ominously: "You'll be finding out very soon where he is Jai if you carry on digging. Keeping him company in the same grave #Emmerdale".
